Description
Begin your tour with pickup from Tel Aviv (Hotel David Intercontinental) at 6:30–6:45 AM or Jerusalem (David Citadel Hotel) at 7:45–8:00 AM. After gathering all travelers, head to the Dead Sea level point for a 10-minute rest and photo opportunity overlooking the Judean Desert.
Continue to Jericho, the world’s oldest city, where a local guide will show you its ancient walls and the Spring of the Prophet Elijah. Optionally, take a cable car ($20 fee) to the Mount of Temptation, which requires a 15-minute uphill walk to reach the Greek Orthodox cave.
Next, enjoy a break at a Dead Sea products center offering snacks, coffee, and restroom facilities. Then, travel to the Jordan River, stopping at the sycamore tree linked to Zacchaeus for photos. Visit the baptismal sites where John baptized Jesus, with an optional 30-minute baptism experience following Jesus’ path.
Proceed to Bethlehem and arrive at Manger Square. Enter the Church of the Nativity, established in the 4th century AD around Jesus' birthplace. Note that grottos may be closed during masses or due to long queues.
Visit a local olive wood workshop to learn about traditional crafts and enjoy a coffee break with restroom access. Then see Banksy graffiti art on the separation wall and optionally visit the Banksy Museum (entrance fee approximately $8).
The tour concludes with drop-off at the original pickup locations in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. All times are approximate and may vary due to traffic and weather.
