Description
Depart from Jerusalem at 5:50 AM by air-conditioned coach to Tel Aviv, then head north along the coast. The first stop is Caesarea, an ancient Roman capital featuring extensive ruins including a grand amphitheater and aqueduct. Walk through this archaeological site that was once a Phoenician port developed by King Herod.
Next, continue to Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city, where you will visit the Baha’i Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering panoramic views of the city and Mediterranean Sea from Mount Carmel.
The tour proceeds to Rosh Hanikra, located at the border with Lebanon. Here you will explore dramatic limestone grottoes and view the white chalk cliffs facing the sea.
Your final stop is the Old City of Acre, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Acre’s rich history spans Greek, Byzantine, Crusader, Ottoman, and British periods. Explore the massive city walls, vibrant market, charming port, and the Jezzar Pasha Mosque, which houses a relic attributed to the prophet Mohammed.
