Description
The tour begins at the Mount of Olives, descending to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, then crossing the Kidron Valley. You visit the Dormition Church on Mount Zion and the Coenaculum.
Enter Jerusalem’s Old City through the Zion Gate. Walk through the Armenian Quarter to the Byzantine Cardo, then continue to the Western Wall (Kotel). Follow the stations of the cross to reach the Church of the Holy Sepulcher before exploring the Old City markets.
In Bethlehem, switch to a local guide and walk through Manger Square to the Church of the Nativity, including its grotto and altar dedicated to the three wise men. Pass the small Armenian Chapel of Kings and the Crusader Church. Conclude at Shepherds’ Field, viewing the tent-shaped chapel and panels depicting the life of Jesus.
