Description
Depart from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem while learning about the history of Israel and the Jewish people en route. After about an hour’s drive, arrive at the Mount of Olives and view the Old City of Jerusalem along with the City of David.
Walk down to the Dominus Flevit Church and see the extensive Jewish cemetery stretching toward Gethsemane, known as the site of the Judas kiss. Pause here for a tea, coffee, or juice break.
The tour continues with a bus transfer back up to the Dung Gate for access to the Temple Mount (access not possible on Fridays, Saturdays, and religious holidays). Next, visit the last stations of the Via Dolorosa inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, including Golgotha, the location of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
Finish in the Jewish Quarter to see the Western Wall, the Roman Cardo, and other nearby historical landmarks related to the Via Dolorosa and Golgotha.
