Tour Description
Meet your guide at the central pickup point in Tel Aviv at 2:00 AM, then travel south through Jerusalem toward the Arava Border to enter Jordan. Your guide will assist with border formalities.
From the border, continue by comfortable air-conditioned vehicle along the “desert way,” a vast highway, followed by a scenic mountain route. Arrival at Petra is around 11:30 AM.
Explore Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Nabataeans in the 3rd century, featuring palaces, temples, tombs, storerooms, and stables carved into sandstone cliffs. Key sights include the Greek-style Treasury and the Street of Facades with its tombs and the 7,000-seat theater.
At 4:30 PM, depart Petra towards Aqaba with stops at observation points to view the landscape of Wadi Rum. Return to Tel Aviv by approximately 7:30 PM.
