Description
Enter Petra through the Siq to arrive at the Treasury, the most famous facade of the ancient city and one of the reasons Petra is among the seven wonders of the world. Discover over 800 statues, temples, tombs, caves, and the Roman theater. Petra was inhabited by the Nabateans over 2000 years ago, who developed an advanced water conduit system and traded water with caravans and travelers. The city declined after a major earthquake in 363 A.D., leading to its abandonment.
