Description
This tour includes visits to three wineries where you can sample wines and interact with winery owners and winemakers. It offers insight into winemaking methods and the history of wine production in Israel’s Central region.
Tishbi Winery is located in Binyamina and ranks as Israel’s sixth largest winery, producing about one million bottles annually. Its wines are exported to 25 countries. The Tishbi family was commissioned by Baron Edmond de Rothschild to plant Israel’s first modern vineyard.
Carmel Winery is a historic establishment that showcases the development of Israel’s wine industry, blending Old World and New World winemaking techniques. Visitors can explore the winery’s role from early Israeli settlement through the current evolution of Israeli wines.
Amphorae Winery, founded in 2000, produces approximately 65,000 bottles yearly. Located in a stone building at the entrance to a Carmel Mountain valley, the winery’s Italian farmhouse style echoes Tuscany. Its expert team, advised by Michel Rolland, uses modern facilities to create world-class wines.
